Career Seminar on Defence, Engineering Careers Held for Students | KNO

Srinagar, May 13 (KNO): A one day career seminar aimed at guiding students towards opportunities in Gateway to IIT and NDA was organised by Career Defence School in North Kashmir's Sopore on Wednesday. The seminar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) was led by Founder and CEO of Career Group, Er Vinay Rai, along with Administrative Officer Er Gagan Wadhwa. The programme was organised by certified career coach Er Amir Suhail and co organised by Khan Jahangeer. MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar attended the event as Chief Guest, while Tehsildar Sopore Sheikh Tariq participated as Guest of Honor. A large number of students from different schools across Kashmir Valley participated in the seminar. The event was anchored by Syed Humaira. MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar appreciated the organisers for conducting a meaningful programme for students of the Valley. He said such seminars help students gain awareness about career opportunities and motivate them to compete at national platforms. Tehsildar Sopore Sheikh Tariq also addressed the participants and stressed the need for dedication, hard work and moral values in student life. Guest speaker Dr Shaheen Shouket Dar, independent war and peace analyst, spoke about the importance of education, discipline and critical thinking among youth. He encouraged students to stay away from negativity and channel their energy towards constructive goals and professional excellence. Dr Abrar Bashir, while interacting with students, highlighted the growing importance of competitive education and informed them about various career avenues available after schooling. He advised students to build confidence, improve communication skills and stay consistent in their efforts. Speaking to media, Er Vinay Rai said that students from Jammu and Kashmir possess immense talent and only require proper guidance, discipline and exposure to national level opportunities. He said Career Defence School is committed to preparing students for competitive examinations like JEE Mains, NEET, RIMC and NDA while also focusing on personality development, leadership and nation building. He urged students to remain focused on academics and make use of every available opportunity to shape their future careers. A detailed question and answer session was also held during the seminar in which students raised queries regarding NDA eligibility, IIT entrance preparation, hostel facilities, scholarship opportunities, physical fitness requirements and career planning. The speakers and experts responded to the questions and guided students on different aspects of competitive preparation. The seminar concluded with an interactive session and a vote of thanks by the organisers, who expressed gratitude to guests, speakers, participating schools and students for making the event successful—(KNO)
